In 2003, the Texas Legislature enacted the Uniform Prudent Investor Act and the Uniform Principal and Income Act.  These acts became effective January 1, 2004, and affect new and existing trusts.  Download and print the following PDF files to have your copy of Glenn Karisch's UPIA Handbook -- the best source of information on the Uniform Prudent Investor Act and the Uniform Principal and Income Act as enacted in Texas.
